My responsibilities at Tile Council of North America (TCNA) focus on the management of content and user experience for Why Tile, a public relations campaign to support the use of ceramic tile. I am the chief editor and writer for content that has a consumer and a commercial audience.
Much of the content is drafted through an SEO agency based on outlines I curate from strategy meetings with our members and staff. We then evaluate topics for SEO viability and pertinence to industry advancements/goals. I edit the content and assign the published “author” for final voice.
Please see the Why Tile blog for a full range of content I have produced.
I’ve also written blog content and these pieces (among others) carry my byline:

In addition to blog post content, I am the editor and architect of new features and areas of the Why Tile website. These features are in direct response to needs expressed by our audiences:
Ceramic Tile Layout Pattern Guide (I also drew the graphics and designed the download.)
Ceramic Tile Material Comparison
I write ad copy for TCNA, Why Tile, International Product Assurance Laboratories, and the Flooring Sustainability Summit.
It was my great honor to serve an innovative charter school through my work at Legacy Advancement. I wrote and designed the development material for donors and recruitment materials for the school. Additionally, I led the growth of social media channels for the school (a main line of communication for this underserved community) with a consistent, branded content strategy.
I had the opportunity to ghost write OpEds and create unique content such as this double-truck newspaper ad. This ad celebrated the charter school’s first graduating class, which coincided with the 90th anniversary of the first graduating class that originally occupied the campus of the charter school. I researched these facts, gathered the visuals, created the graphics, designed the piece, and even bought the ad space. Legacy honored the heritage of Parker by adopting the school’s colors of gold and purple.

I produced Legacy recruitment literature in English and Spanish. I worked with the high school Spanish teacher for the translation.
For the Converse alumnae publication, I worked as reporter, ghost writer, editor, designer, and art directed many of the photoshoots. I had the good fortune to join Converse when they were seeking a new editorial approach and am proud to have conceptualized and led the development of new features with an aim to engage alumnae at this historical women’s college (now a coed university).

The Converse alumnae magazine also included short content that I researched through interviews, wrote, and designed for a fresh approach to alumnae updates.
